Since its creation in 1986 by Lise Cornillier, Cornillier Avocats has gradually established itself as a firm specializing in the companies and organizations in the social and responsible economy.
It is a human-sized firm, offering tailor-made support aimed at promoting the development of structures and enabling them to safely undertake their business. The firm’s clients include a large number of companies involved in the social economy.
Challenge
Cornillier Avocats’ recognized expertise in the social economy was not sufficiently highlighted in its brand identity, despite being its major distinctive asset. Another challenge was to design a brand identity that reflected the ambitions of its three partners, to ensure consistent communication both internally and externally.
Solution
We articulated a differentiating brand identity that would change the perception of Cornillier Avocats over the long term, transforming it from a generalist practice into a specialist firm dedicated to helping companies make an impact.
The new tagline, “Avocats de l’économie responsable” (“Lawyers for a responsible economy”), embodies the very essence of Cornillier: a firm that is committed, dynamic and innovative, working alongside those who create a positive impact.
We were keen to highlight the firm’s historical expertise in the social economy, without confining it to this sector alone. We were able to reflect the SSE culture in the firm’s identity, drawing inspiration from strong values that illustrate the fundamental principles of this sector.
Following the work on the brand, we redesigned the firm’s offering, so that it would be an extension of its new positioning, and demonstrate its ability to provide tangible support.
