Linkedin: why is it crucial to pay attention to your Corporate page?

Linkedin: why is it crucial to pay attention to your Corporate page?
  • LinkedIn
  • Professional Services

Salma Janjar is head of the digital marketing department, supporting Eliott & Markus customers in their digital strategy with a range of webmarketing tools adapted to their objectives. She brings us her expertise on the use of Linkedin Corporate pages to increase your visibility on social networks.

Why pay attention to the corporate page on Linkedin ?

Today, Linkedin counts over 575 million professionals. To establish your B2B expertise, Linkedin is the best tool for professionals. In fact, if you’re a company with more than 15 employees, creating a corporate page is a must if you want to ensure greater visibility for your business.

You’ll need to differentiate your Linkedin corporate page from your personal page, but connecting the two will make your personal profile look more professional (thanks to the company icon on your personal page) and your corporate profile show more connected employees.

Could it give greater visibility ?

It’s essential to know that Linkedin pages are highly referenced on Google. They therefore have a positive impact for professionals, who will be more visible on search engines.

Think of your corporate page as your own media – all the information will be important. If you’re taking the time to develop your website, it’s also a good idea to take the time to develop your corporate page, in order to enhance its attractiveness and visibility.

What kind of content should you include on your corporate page ?

In Linkedin’s algorithm, it’s essential to use “media” in your publications, as a simple text will very rarely be proposed in your subscribers’ news feed. There is, however, an order of preference: PDF and video are highly appreciated by the algorithm, but the use of any graphic element is important if you wish to reinforce interaction with your subscribers. Linkedin has an annoying tendency to dislike links to other websites, so links should be used sparingly, either in the post or in the first comment.

Linkedin has introduced an option called Linkedin Pulse. This option allows you to publish your article as is, which is essential if you have articles that have never been published and you want to publish them. What’s more, this option allows you to develop your reputation and image on social networks.

Can you give us a few tips ?

  1. Focus each post on a specific sector of activity, and limit yourself to a single message per post, as Internet users’ attention span is limited on social networks.
  2. Multiply post formats in order of priority: Document (pdf) – video (native) – rectangular image – square image – Poll.
  3. On weekdays, the best times to post on LinkedIn are 10:45 am, 12:45 pm, 5:45 pm and 7:45 pm. This generally corresponds to coffee breaks, lunch and transportation out of the office.
  4. Eliott & Markus will be delighted to provide you with graphic designs that you can use every day, or to take charge of your community management with monthly packages.
